Today I felt like posting some photos of one of my favorite songwriters, Jenny Lewis. I covet both her clothes and her hair, along with her lyrical abilities!

I love it when new photos come out looking vintage. Of course, with digital photos you can always tweak and tint and create the effect yourself, but every once in awhile it happens accidentally. This picture from last summer is just blurry enough and the colors look authentically like family photos circa 1967.

Shoes and Ships and Sealing Wax

I know a thing or two about children's books- I have a degree in early childhood education and this fall I will start grad school for Library Science- and I would have to say that my all-time favorites are the Alice books. While the original Tenniell illustrations are the real classics, I like to check out ways that other illustrators portray these characters. Most of these are from 1900-1950, although there are some newer ones mixed in as well.































I have more of these, I'll probably share them later!
